What is the Fireflies Referral Program?
The Fireflies referral program rewards you with free credits when someone signs up for a new account using your unique referral link. For every new user that signs up, you earn credits based on your plan:
- If you're on the Free plan, you get 3 free transcription credits for each referral signup. This allows you to transcribe three meetings for free.
- If you're on the paid plan (Pro or Business), you get 5 free AI credits for each new signup. Use them to extract meeting insights or write emails or blog posts using our AskFred Chatbot, AskFred for Web, or to automatically create sound bites from meetings.

How to send a referral
- Log into your Fireflies account. Click Refer on the bottom left side of the navigation bar.
- Invite new users with a link or email.
To refer via email:
- Type the email of the person or people you’d like to invite and click Refer.
- You can also refer people from meetings you’ve had in the last 90 days.
To refer via the referral link:
- Copy the referral link and share it on your social media handles
- You'll receive free credits when a new user signs up through your referral link. You can track the credits earned from your dashboard.
How credits add up
Let’s explore how credits add up from three three scenarios:
You’re a free user:
- Your transcription credits add up with each new referral as long as your Fireflies account is active.
You’re a paid user without the AI Credits subscription:
- Your AI credits add up with each new referral as long as your Fireflies account is active.
You’re a paid user with the AI Credits subscription:
- Your extra credits are good until your next billing cycle.
For example, say you’re on the Business tier with an add-on of 50 AI credits/month. If you refer a new user, you'll get 5 extra credits, making it 55 for the current cycle. However, your credits will reset to 50 when the next billing cycle starts.
