Step 1: Log in or sign up for a free Fireflies account. 

Step 2: On the bottom right side of the Dashboard, click Transcribe audio or video.

Step 3: Upload the video from your desktop.

Give Fireflies a few minutes to process your video. The processing time varies based on your video's size.

Go to Meeting status from the navigation bar to view its current status.

Fireflies will email you once the processing is complete. You can click the link in the email or access the video from your Notebook.

Step 4: Click the Download button at the bottom.

Step 5: Click Download Audio.

A new tab will open up with a mini media player.

Step 6: Open the three-dot menu.

Step 7: Click Download.

That’s it! The file MP3 will be saved on your device.

Convert YouTube videos to MP3 using the mobile app

Converting YouTube videos to MP3 on the Fireflies mobile app works the same way as it does on the desktop version.

Step 1: Open the Fireflies mobile app. If you don’t have the Fireflies mobile app installed, download it from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Step 2: Log in or sign up for a Fireflies account.

Step 3: Tap on the Transcribe button.

Step 4: Tap Upload Audio or Video.

Wait for the file to upload. You can track the progress of your file upload at the top.

Step 6: Go to your Notebook from the bottom menu.

Step 8: Tap the three-dot menu on the top right.

Step 9: Tap on Download Meeting.

Step 10: Tap on Download Audio.

Step 11: Your default browser will open with a mini-player. 

If you’re on iOS, tap on the Share icon at the bottom.

If you’re on Android, tap on the three-dot menu.

Step 12: Save/Download the MP3 file.

If you’re on iOS, tap on Save to Files.

If you’re on Android, tap on Download.
